For ISADE 2026, the organizers would like to extend a special invitation to student members of the explosives detection community.  We hope to offer several scholarships to support attendance at this year’s meeting (sponsor dependent).

GRADUATE STUDENTS APPLYING UNDER THE Scientific Workshops:  DR. DAVID A. ATKINSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Information for Graduate Students Applying under ISADE 2026

The application deadline is June 1, 2026.

The ISADE 2026 Symposium is a scientific meeting designed to provide an informal forum for exchanging information among scientists, academia, industry, and government. One of the fundamental goals is to promote the educational science that supports the future development of trace explosives detection systems, use, and technical understanding. To achieve this goal, the organizing committee believes it is essential to attract, encourage and foster the development of newer community members. In this spirit, we will provide limited financial support to full-time students studying in the scientific areas. In order to be considered, students must submit an abstract for presentation and a letter of support from their research advisor. Student award recipients will be selected for either oral or poster presentations in a special student award sessions. Note: a limitation of no more than one student per research group will be permitted to receive financial assistance for ISADE 2026.

A full time student who wishes to be considered for a student stipend award must submit an abstract for presentation and letter of support from the student's research advisor. The letter must state that you are a full time student in his/her research group and must provide contact information for the research advisor and the student. Abstracts can be one to three pages total in length. This includes figures and references. The title, student's name and affiliation is to be centered at the top of the first page, followed by text and figures. Students will be notified of acceptance and referred for registration. If not accepted for the stipend, students may register directly to attend ISADE 2026.
