THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON THE ANALYSIS AND
DETECTION OF EXPLOSIVES (ISADE)
ISADE, a premier international scientific symposium, convenes every three years and is recognized worldwide for its depth, rigor, and impact in the field of explosives analysis and detection.
ISADE is the premier scientific meeting for the forensic and security applications of the chemical sciences and related fields, and has been held every three years since the 1st ISADE Symposium in 1983. The ISADE Symposium Program for 2026 will feature expert assessments of technical responses to recent global events, forensic case studies, and the scientific challenges identified. State-of-the-art analytical and forensic techniques will be presented, along with the characterization of novel materials. Advances in trace particle, vapor, and canine detection will also be included. ISADE brings together scientists, policymakers, and first responders from government, law enforcement, the military, academia, and industry to discuss challenges and opportunities in explosives analysis and detection across the fields of Forensics, Characterization, Attribution, Analysis and Detection.
Join us in September 2026 in Rotterdam for a landmark gathering where science informs practice, collaboration fuels innovation, and global expertise converges.
The host of ISADE is the Scientific Workshops, which is operated as a USA 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Note: The Scientific Workshops will not host the Trace Explosives & Drug Detection Workshops (TEDD) during years when the ISADE Symposium is held, as this event brings together the pre- and post-detection communities in the broader field of explosives detection.
