The  purpose of this society shall be to advance and disseminate knowledge  concerning the principles, advances and applications of Threat Detection  Sciences, via educational annual workshops in areas of contraband  detection, like in the areas of explosives, illicit  narcotics, chemicals, etc.  

The  overall mission is to assist in the communications, research &  development, and education of detection, directly improving national and  international homeland security. Scientific Workshops will provide continuity, advance planning,  and a financing mechanism for holding annual workshops, conferences and  meetings.

ISADE 2023 attendance is open to academia, industry, law enforcement, and wider government colleagues working in this area. Hosted by The Scientific Workshops and in affiliation with The Annual Workshop on Trace Explosives Detection bringing together government and industry for the purpose of discussion, training, and sharing information on detecting trace and chemical elements which may be used to do harm and destroy.

Prior Workshops

Scientific Workshops is a non-profit helping the scientific communities in the areas of concealed and trace explosives.  Our annual workshops fill rapidly. We encourage you to register and pay early.  Payment is made through our online card processor and is requested at the time of meeting registration.  However, you can choose "Invoice Me" to have an invoice mailed to submit through your channels for payment.  While we prefer immediate online payment, we also accept checks, money orders, bank and wire transfers.
