COVID 19 Health and Safety Plan - CED22

The Scientific Workshops (SW) Board of Directors aims to host an enjoyable and memorable conference for all, where old friends and colleagues can once again come together to share their work and network. The recent rapid decrease in COVID-19 cases and projections for continued improvement over the coming weeks have indicated that the necessary conditions have been met for us to once again come together for the 4th Annual Workshop on Concealed Explosives Detection in Dublin Ireland.

In the interest of maintaining the optimum level of safety for all attendees and guests, we will follow all suggested local (Dublin Ireland) and/or CDC guidelines at the time of the conference. While masks are not currently required at the conference location per guidelines, you are encouraged to wear one if it makes you more comfortable.  In the meeting hall and at meals, we will also attempt to keep the spacing between meeting participant greater than in the past, as another means to mitigate transmission.

Full vaccination for all participants is highly recommended.  If you develop Covid-like symptoms during the conference, we ask that you do not attend the technical sessions or meals until you are cleared by a negative test result.

We will update all participants with any changes before the workshop occurs.

Further information provided by the Ireland’s Health Department or the CDC can be found below:

Note: source: Aer Lingus, Latest requirements for passengers arriving into Ireland
Effective 00:01 Sunday 06 March 2022, all passengers arriving into Ireland will no longer have to present COVID-19 travel documents.
This means that there is no longer a requirement for passengers to have: a completed passenger locator form; evidence of having been fully vaccinated; evidence of recovery from COVID-19; or evidence of a negative/not-detected result from a RT-PCR/Antigen test.
Please ensure you check the relevant travel restrictions and government advisories for any other country you may be traveling to before you depart for the airport.
